While many people spend their lives yearning for the day they can “retire” to paradise, those who have chosen a career in hospitality get to live, work and play in extraordinary places such as Byron Bay.
Cape Byron is Australia’s most easterly point, located on the north coast of New South Wales. It’s a popular tourist destination, name-checked by celebs, and famous the world over for its beauty, beaches and chilled, creative vibe.
The average summer temperature is between 21C – 28C, and the average winter temperature is between 15C – 21C. Incredible blue skies as far as the eye can see make it a great place to enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities, including the many and varied festivals that colour the town throughout the year.
In addition to Byron Bay there are many small towns close by that offer the same, breezy Northern NSW lifestyle. Towns such as Ballina, Lennox Head, Bangalow, Suffolk Park, Ocean Shores and Brunswick Heads all provide a laid back regional lifestyle – all within a 30 minute drive to Byron Bay.
