Want to learn to surf on Main Beach Byron Bay?! We are one of the few surf school providers who run lessons right in Byron Bay.
We surf in small groups, max of 6 participants so you will have loads of hands-on help from our professional instructors.
Our 2-hour lesson (3-hour experience) will offer a truly authentic surfing experience that covers all the basics from warm-up to paddling, catching waves and standing! The lesson price includes all equipment; board, wetsuit, rash vest, sunscreen and zinc.

For: Beginners
Duration: 3 x 2 hour lessons
About your experience:
Once the surfing bug bites, you’ll want to keep going with our multi-lesson packages. Save money with our discounted three lesson beginner’s package to get you safely up and onto your first waves and give you the chance to improve upon your new skills. In these classes we surf in small groups (maximum 6) and you will experience different beach and wave conditions, and even learn how to control your board and turn. By the third lesson you’ll feel confident about paddling out.
This is a 3 x 2 hour lesson course which can be taken in three consecutive days, or whenever the lessons suit your schedule as you have 6 months to complete all three lessons.

Whether you’re an individual determined to get up on that wave, a group of friends wanting your own personal learn to surf experience, or a more experienced surfer needing feedback on technique, our private surf lessons give you that extra attention to detail and a dedicated coach to work with.
Your own personal surf instructor will set some goals, determine your current level and structure the lesson around your ability. We have many surf instructors at our surf school so we match the instructor to your needs.
What to bring: Swimmers and a towel
